Who is responsible

publicspeakingclasses.io is an informational site that compares public speaking classes. Write to hello@publicspeakingclasses.io with any question about your data.

What we record

The site never asks for your name, email or any contact detail. To learn how many people visit and which parts they read, it records anonymously: the page you opened, the site you came from, how far down the page you scrolled, whether you tapped a button to the Confidently app and from which spot on the page, your device's language and operating system, and a random identifier stored in your browser so you are not counted twice. Your IP address is used only to estimate country and city and is not stored in full.

What it is used for

Only to measure how the site is used and to improve its content. The data is processed with Amplitude, an analytics service with servers in the European Union. We do not sell or share data with advertisers.

Cookies and local storage

The site stores two values in your browser: the anonymous visitor identifier and a session identifier that expires after 30 minutes without activity. If you close the practice bar at the bottom of the screen, that choice is kept for the rest of your visit. You can delete all of these from your browser settings. Ad blockers also stop the recording, and the site works exactly the same without it.

Links to the app stores

The app buttons pass through a short link on this site (/go/app) that sends you to the Confidently listing in the App Store or on Google Play, depending on your device. That link records nothing beyond what is described above; on Android it adds the name of this site and the button's position to the Google Play link so the app can count where installs came from. From the store onward, the privacy notices of Apple or Google and of Confidently apply, not this one.

Your rights

You can ask us to delete any data tied to your visitor identifier by writing to the address above. Because we store nothing that identifies you personally, the surest way to unlink yourself is to clear your browser's local storage for this site.
